In an exclusive interview with Isna’s Ambassador to Isna’s Iranian Islamic Republic with Isna Hassan Habiborazadeh to Turkey, he said the meeting was part of an ongoing effort to open new borders between the two countries.
He explained that the session was attended by representatives from all agencies responsible for border issues in both Iran and Turkey. Following inspections and evaluations of the proposed location, both sides exchanged opinions and agreed to the final site at the intersection and facilities at both border terminals.
The new Koozeh Rash -Gelincik Crossing is located between Salma County in Western Azerbaijan, Iran, and Bashkale district in Ban, Turkey. Following Bazaargan, Raj and Serro, it will become the fourth official boundary gate between Iran and Turkey.
Ambassador Habiborazadeh emphasized that the opening of the fourth border gate will not only strengthen exchanges between the state and the nation, but will also significantly boost the trade and passage of the two neighbours.
