The Director of Transport and Road Maintenance of Gilan Province said that over 562,000 tons of non-petroleum goods were transported from the border of this northern province during the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 22, 2025).
Of the total goods transported from the state’s borders, more than 492,000 tons and more than 70,000 tons of goods are being transported from the Astara and Anzari borders, respectively, he added.
Over 168,000 tons of transport goods exported from the state between March 21 and September 22, 2025 were noted during this period.
He went on to say that over 56,000 tons of non-oil goods have been imported domestically from the Astara border and over 634,000 tons of goods have been exported overseas from the border, showing a 5% growth compared to the same period last year.
During the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (starting March 21, 2025), various types of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as different tiles, were exported from the Astara border overseas.
