Maldives President Mohamed Muiz said “such threats are not unacceptable and should not be tolerated,” and he “he strongly condemned the Israeli attacks.”
“Targeting humanitarian convoys that carry relief to those who have been deprived of freedom and basic necessities is a serious humiliation against humanity and international law,” Muizu said through US social media company X.
“We are calling on the international community to take decisive action against Israel’s remarkably and repeatedly violations of international law, far beyond the moral compass shared by humanity,” he added.
He said the Maldives further stands in unshakable solidarity with the Palestinian people in a just struggle for human rights, justice, peace and security.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has also been condemned in Israel’s attacks on Israeli humanitarian fleet, warning that his country will take all legal action to hold Tel Aviv accountable, especially if citizens are involved.
“I urge the immediate release of all Malaysian and international activists and volunteers,” Anwar told X on Thursday.
“This is a humanitarian mission to bring unarmed civilians along with much needed assistance to the people of Gaza. The government will do its best to detain Malaysian citizens,” he added.
