Footage from the China Military Bugle report shows that the unpainted J-35 and J-35A jets are assembled into Shekeang Aircraft Company Limited, a subsidiary of China’s National Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC).
Known as China’s first homemade carrier-based stealth fighter, the J-35 recently achieved its first electromagnetic catapult-assisted launch and recovery training at the country’s aircraft carrier Fujian.
The J-35A hangar, which houses the J-35’s track and field items, is also featured in the footage.
The report noted that the J-35A incorporates an integrated aerodynamic stealth structure.
Designed as a centre for stealth and counterstealth aviation combat operations, the J-35A is primarily tasked with ensuring air superiority, but can also perform surface strike missions.
Its central objectives include controlling airspace, fighting enemy aircraft, intercepting ground air defense targets, enemy fighters, bombers, cruise missiles and other air threats.
