This weekend, there have been very positive debates with Hamas and countries around the world (Arabs, Muslims and everyone else) to release prisoners and end the war in Gaza, but more importantly, he has long sought peace in the Middle East, Trump said in his post on his true social post.
“These consultations have been extremely successful and are progressing rapidly. The technical team will meet again in Egypt on Monday to reveal the final details,” he added.
Over the past few months, humanitarian conditions have become dire in Gaza, with thousands of deaths and starvation dying in the wake of war, putting international pressure on Israel.
On Friday, Hamas said it could accept parts of the peace deal from the Trump administration to end the war in Gaza, including the release of Israeli prisoners. The Resistance Group also said other elements of the peace agreement would require further consultation.
“I am grateful that Israel temporarily stopped the bombing to give the opportunity to release hostages and complete the peace agreement,” Trump wrote.
“Hamas has to move quickly or all bets will be off,” he continued. “I don’t tolerate the delays that many people think will happen. A consequence of Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s do this.
Trump’s claims come as Israeli forces continue their attacks on Gaza for two consecutive days, carrying out 131 airstrikes that killed 94 Palestinians in the past 48 hours despite increasing international calls to stop the invasion.
Observers note that Trump’s plan is intended to save Israel from deepening it from the domestic and international crisis.
