At the national conference on investment opportunities in Iran’s North Kholasan province, Iran’s vice president, Ilias Gaipov, attended by Iran’s vice president, Iran’s ambassador for Turkmenistan, highlighted the longstanding friendship between Iran and Turkmenistan.
“Investment can play an important role for the nation and drive economic growth,” he said, adding that Turkmenistan is seeking to expand cooperation with Iran through a signed memorandum of understanding with neighboring states.
The ambassador described the meeting as a valuable opportunity to explore existing possibilities, domestic products and investment prospects, and to cultivate a new avenue for economic partnerships.
Gaipov also highlighted the need to strengthen relations with Turkmenistan’s Akhal province, noting that closer interface cooperation could open up new opportunities for investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.
