Iran is considering Turkey’s recent lawsuit to implement the revoked Security Council resolution as unfounded, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaril Bhagihai said on Monday.
He emphasized that three European countries (France, Germany and the UK) would rob their legitimate legal foundations.
Baghaei urged all countries, particularly Iran’s neighbors and friendly states, to refrain from examining measures justifying illegal activities in three European countries.
The spokesman made it clear that the entities mentioned in the Turkish notice had no Turkish assets or accounts, and even the agent for international affairs at the Atomic Energy Agency explicitly stated that no seizures occurred.
He added that Iranian diplomatic missions have been actively pursuing all the initiatives needed in New York in recent months to prevent illegal activities in European countries, showing reasonable flexibility for some of their proposals.
“In spite of repeated acceptance of proposals by European parties, Washington’s policies have always been focused on reviving resolutions, so they have not been able to convince the United States,” Bagaei pointed out.
