The drill is being held at the training grounds in Mahajan, Rajasthan.
“The main objective is to implement coordination between the two countries in the fight against international terrorism, including improving tactics to implement counter-terrorism operations,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
The exercise continues until October 15th, with its main purpose being to practice cooperation between the two countries in the fight against international terrorism, including refinement of counterterrorism tactics, the statement read.
Since its founding in 2003, Indra exercises have played an important role in strengthening Indo-Russia’s defensive ties. The two countries emphasize the importance of maritime security and the need to work together to tackle shared threats and challenges.
