At a ceremony in Tehran on Monday, Iran’s Army Secretary Commander Amir Khatami said, “While the enemy is the result of the existence of the Islamic Republic system, the recent 12-day wars are trying to show that while the enemy is a result of the problem, repressive sanctions and even the eight-year imposed wars are a result of the Islamic Republic system, the last 12 days of imposed wars are sufficient to prove how their claims are being argued.”
“We were attacked during the last 12 days of war while we were engaged in negotiations,” the Iranian Army commander explained.
“In the war imposed in 8 years, the regime seeking hegemony targeted the country with its aggression and oppressive sanctions, as well as full support from the east and west of the infamous Saddam administration, with the aim of damaging Islamic facilities. It was involved in the war and was subjected to oppression and attack due to its strategic attitude.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Major General Khatami emphasized the need for the Army to learn good lessons from the experiences of the war imposed over 12 days.
