The illogical claims of the European Union in a joint statement with the Foreign Minister of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and the unfounded position of Arab states in the Iranian Islands in Greater Tambu, less Cinx and Ab Musa further showed that, due to the influence of the UK, France and Germany, the EU is not an amicable approach to Iran, one of the main factors behind the main factors against Iran.
In this regard, there are a few points worth considering.
1. Among the European Union members, the UK recognizes that three islands belong to Iran than other countries, and that this was repeatedly announced during the Pallavi period. (See Emarat Mamur, memoir of Manush Bohnam, the first Iranian ambassador for Emirates). Based on historical and geographical evidence, the three islands were under Iranian rule 2,500 years ago during the Achemenid, Parthian and Sasanian eras. During the Kajar era, Britain exploited the Iranian conflict during the Herat War to launch an expedition to the Persian Gulf, leading to the occupation of three islands. London recognized Iran’s sovereignty over the Persian Gulf and its islands in a brief and detailed treaty (1808 and 1812).
During the Pahlavi period, after negotiations on the ownership of three islands between Iran and Britain, after the Shah agreed to separate Bahrain from Iran, the British retreated, and the Iranian forces entered the three islands and established full sovereignty over these islands. This happens two days before the formation of the United Arab Emirates occurs and is an important reason to reject claims to the UAE island. Today, the European Union has not only continued hostile actions against Iran by supporting the United Arab Emirates’ false claims, but also distrusts the union by ignoring historical documents.
2. As the main loser of the Ukrainian war, the European Union is trying to divert the minds of European people from their failure by ignoring the “snapback” and raising deviant issues such as supporting false claims in the UAE. The departure of public opinion from participating in the participation of the Zionist regime in the genocide of the Gaza people is another reason for union hostility towards Iran. The fact is that despite Britain, France and Germany’s hostile approach to Iran, many officials from EU member states are opposed to European policies against Iran and are trying to continue improving relations with Iran. They are unhappy with the dictatorship of these three countries against the rest of the union, and have expressed this dissatisfaction at a political meeting with Iranian officials. Some of these people believe that Europe is trying to follow the same approach as the US in the form of a soft mission to Iran by asserting its independence from the US.
3. The approach to Iran clearly shows that the European Union is unreliable and not a friend of Iran, and the wise leader of the Islamic Revolution has repeatedly spoken about his distrust of Europe. Although Britain, France and Germany have official ties with Iran, they are considered to be the heavens and places of activity for terrorist groups opposed to Iran. When Saddam invaded Iran and imposed war, these three countries supported Saddam with weapons aid and sales of chemical weapons. During the war imposed, the European Union, together with the United States, launched a serious economic embargo on Iran, and did not use this opportunity to improve political ties with Iran after the publication of Resolution 598 and the end of the war. The bad European behavior towards Iran continues in other regions, such as human rights, with European officials repeatedly calling for the suspension of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
After breach of Trump’s promises and withdrawal from the JCPOA, European countries failed to fulfill their duties and committed illegal activities in the labor department with the United States. In other words, by activating the snapback, they showed high hostility towards Iran.
The final point is that the union cannot have a place in independent diplomatic relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran except to modify its hostile approach to the Iranian state. The distinction between the European Union and the US policy towards Iran must be shown in practice and in the process of gaining the trust of the Iranian people. Otherwise, members of the European Union will continue to be deprived of their friendship with the Iranian people.
