Ebrahim Rezaei pointed out that the Iranian military is fully prepared to respond to the enemy in any act of aggression.
In an interview with Mehr News Agency, he pointed to the country’s defense and military capabilities, adding: “Today, I can say with certainty that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s defense and combat readiness is much higher than it was four months ago. We have reached the pinnacle of preparedness and will resolutely respond to any aggression.”
Indeed, if an enemy commits a bad act, Iran’s response will be more regrettable and devastating than before, Rezaei stressed.
He said the enemy was not in a position to attack Iran, called on all walks of life to continue with normal life, and said society should not worry about war.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the snapback mechanism triggered against Iran, which Iran’s parliament called “illegal and cruel” and which the two permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) have also declared illegal.
He stressed that the reimposition of UN sanctions under the snapback mechanism will not affect the country.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Ministry criticized three European countries for starting the process of snapback mechanism to return UN sanctions against Iran.
On June 13, the Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. Then, on June 22, the United States attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, escalating the conflict.
The Iranian military responded immediately and forcefully. IRGC Aerospace Forces conducted 22 waves of retaliatory missile attacks under Operation True Promise III, inflicting significant damage and heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
In retaliation for the US attack, Iranian forces also targeted Qatar’s al-Udeid Air Base, the largest US military installation in West Asia, with a barrage of missiles.
The conflict ended on June 24, and a ceasefire was enforced.
