In a statement released Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Iran’s support for actions that ensure the withdrawal of occupying forces, the provision of humanitarian aid, the release of Palestinian prisoners of war, and the restoration of fundamental rights for the Palestinian people.
The statement recalled Iran’s previous declaration on ending the war in Gaza and highlighted its diplomatic efforts over the past two years, particularly within the region, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the United Nations, to pressure the Israeli regime and its allies to cease violence and withdraw from Gaza.
The statement paid tribute to the martyrs of the Resistance, called on the international community to prevent further violations, and urged all parties to remain vigilant against Israeli deceptions and broken promises.
He further stressed that ending crimes and genocide in Gaza does not absolve governments and international organizations of their legal, humanitarian and moral responsibility to pursue justice by identifying and prosecuting those responsible for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza, with the aim of ending decades of impunity for the Israeli regime.
Prior to this, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) formally announced a ceasefire agreement and a prisoner exchange agreement, which entered into force.
