Speaking on the sidelines of the program of the Iran Medicine 2025 exhibition, Dr. Ramazan Ahadi said that radiopharmaceuticals play an important role in both the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
“Minimizing the injection of radiopharmaceuticals improves diagnostic accuracy and makes treatment faster and less invasive, with fewer side effects,” he said.
Dr. Ahadi emphasized that the use of radiopharmaceuticals is expanding globally and that Iran has successfully domesticated many of these compounds. “Currently, around 400 medical centers across the country are using indigenous radiopharmaceuticals to treat a wide range of patients,” he added.
He emphasized that radiopharmaceuticals are one of the most important advances in nuclear medicine, and their applications are rapidly expanding around the world.
