Speaking at the unveiling of the operations room and new studio of the Revolutionary Guards Public Relations Office in Tehran, he pointed out that the strategic role of the media is a complex, specialized and multifaceted task focused on shaping public opinion, constructing the war narrative and discrediting the enemy’s narrative.
Referring to the media’s excellent performance during the 12-day war that Israel imposed against Iran. Brigadier General Naini emphasized that the media played an outstanding role in three key areas during the 12-day sacred defense: strengthening national morale, strengthening combat morale and countering the enemy’s psychological warfare.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Revolutionary Guards Spokesman pointed to the enemy’s attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) building, stressing that the Israeli attack on the IRIB building was an expression of the enemy’s powerlessness and decisive failure.
On June 13, the Zionist regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran, targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas for 12 consecutive days. Then, on June 22, the United States attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan, escalating the conflict.
The Iranian military responded immediately and forcefully. IRGC Aerospace Forces conducted 22 waves of retaliatory missile strikes under Operation True Promise III, inflicting significant damage and heavy losses on cities across the occupied territories.
In retaliation for the US attack, Iranian forces also targeted Qatar’s al-Udeid Air Base, the largest US military installation in West Asia, with a barrage of missiles.
The conflict ended on June 24, and a ceasefire was enforced.
