Faleh al-Fayaz, head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), also known as Hashd al-Shaabi, met with Iranian police commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan in Tehran to discuss bilateral relations and expanding security cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Al-Fayaz took the opportunity to congratulate Brigadier General Radan on the “Police Week” and said that Iran, a friendly and brotherly country, always stands by the Iraqi people.
He referred to the close cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly highlighting the strengthening of security and law enforcement cooperation at border points, joint coordination and exchange of information and border security between the two neighboring countries.
The Iranian Police Commander expressed his gratitude for the unflinching and tireless efforts of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces in the organization of the Arbaeen ceremony, noting that Iranian law enforcement forces and Iraqi security forces, including Hashd al-Shaabi, have established excellent cooperation and interaction in the better organization of the Arbaeen ceremony.
