Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Esmail Baghai, announced the visit of Foreign Minister Abbas Aragushi to Uganda to participate in the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Interim Foreign Ministers’ Conference.
A senior Iranian diplomat said the summit’s main slogan was declared to be “deepening cooperation for greater global prosperity,” adding that foreign ministers and diplomatic delegations from more than 120 member states of the movement would be in attendance.
According to Baghaei, in addition to a general discussion and presentation of the positions of Non-Aligned Movement member states, the meeting will also include a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Palestine Committee in the presence of member states, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Foreign Minister Aragushi will explain the Islamic Republic of Iran’s position at the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and will also hold talks with representatives from each country on the sidelines of the meeting.
