“FM Araguchi arrived in Kampala, Uganda this morning to attend the 19th Interim Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM),” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Bagai wrote to X on Wednesday morning.
The main slogan of the summit is declared to be “deepening cooperation for greater global prosperity” and will be attended by foreign ministers and diplomatic delegations from more than 120 member states of the movement.
In addition to the general debate and presentation of the positions of Non-Aligned Movement member states, a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Palestine Committee will also be held in the presence of member states, including the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran’s top diplomat is scheduled to explain the Islamic Republic of Iran’s position at the foreign ministers’ meeting and meet with diplomats from other countries on the sidelines of the meeting.
