As Israeli occupation bombing continues across the Gaza Strip, Gazan health authorities announced on Wednesday that local hospitals had received 25 bodies and 35 injured people in the past 24 hours.
Authorities said in a statement that Israel’s occupation offensive targeting eastern Gaza City and the Rafah area left casualties including 16 people rescued from beneath the rubble, one injured person and eight others killed.
The statement further added that a total of 67,938 Palestinians have been killed and 170,169 injured since the outbreak of the Israeli occupation invasion on October 7, 2023, KUNA news agency reported.
It also reported that 45 unidentified bodies captured under Israeli occupation had been handed over but have not yet been added to the cumulative death toll, while an appeal to the International Committee of the Red Cross to assist in the identification and return of bodies to their families continues, and additional bodies have been handed over to the Nasser medical complex in Khan Yunis.
