On the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the Army’s ideological and political organization, he stressed that the enemies of the country are trying to undermine the beliefs, hopes and motivation of the armed forces.
Brigadier Vahedi pointed to the military’s political and ideological role in the 12-day war against Iran imposed by Israel, adding: “During the war, the enemy believed that it had a technological superiority, but the Iranian army relied on faith and a sacred spirit to achieve victory on the battlefield.”
He stressed that the Iranian military, with its beliefs and actions on the battlefield, raised the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.
The Israeli regime launched a blatant and unfounded onslaught against Iran on June 13, sparking a 12-day war that left at least 1,064 people dead in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
A few days later, the United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities in a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic locations throughout the occupied territories, as well as Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran successfully thwarted a terrorist attack through successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
