Yazdanian recalled that early attempts to deploy indigenous satellites in the 1990s failed. However, the determination of Iranian scientists in the 2000s led to the first successful launch. He pointed out that these satellites have significantly enhanced communications capabilities and directly benefited the people’s daily lives.
He further emphasized that the space sector contributes to both national security and economic growth, and that strategic efforts to improve living standards remain a top priority.
Yazdanian said that despite constraints imposed by international sanctions, Iran has achieved self-sufficiency in space technology.
In recent years, the country has achieved numerous achievements in the space field, steadily increasing its global standing.
The Iranian Space Research Center continues to prioritize expanding research, acquiring critical space technologies, and supporting infrastructure development within universities and research institutes.
