In a statement reported by Sepa News on Sunday, the Revolutionary Guards’ Quds headquarters condemned the “terrorist crime” by the extremist group that killed several prominent local figures, including Kamal, Reza Azakish, Parviz Kadkodaei and Shams Askani.
“The masterminds and masterminds of these crimes will soon face retribution for their disgraceful acts, and the powerful security forces and armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will firmly respond to these brutal acts,” the statement said.
The Revolutionary Guards said the attack was carried out by a mercenary group affiliated with the Israeli regime with the aim of undermining the cohesion of Shiite and Sunni communities in the border region.
The statement added that the people of Sistan and Baluchestan, known for their “vigilance and unity,” will continue to resist plots by “enemies of Islam and Iran.”
