In a meeting with hundreds of winners of various sports courses and medalists of the World Science Olympiad, Khamenei referred to the recent bullying of the US president, pointing out that the man tried to energize the Zionists and appear competent through unpleasant acts and lies about the region, Iran and the Iranian state.
However, the leader pointed out that if he (US President Donald Trump) has the ability, he should go and quell the millions of people who are chanting slogans against him in every US state.
Islamic Revolution leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei has harshly criticized US President Donald Trump’s recent comments boasting about bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying the US president does not have the authority to dictate what other countries can and cannot do.
“It’s okay, keep dreaming,” Khamenei said, in reference to the US president’s boastful claim that he had destroyed Iran’s nuclear industry. “But who do you think can make prescriptions for whether a country can or cannot have a nuclear industry?”
Khamenei also condemned the US president’s bullying and baseless rhetoric, saying the president’s recent actions were aimed at “lifting the Zionist spirit and presenting himself as powerful through lies about Iran, the region and its people.”
he added hastily. “If he really is in power, let’s calm down the millions of people in every state in the United States who are singing against him.”
The leader of the Islamic Revolution dismissed claims of despair among Iran’s youth as baseless, stressing that “our dear Iran and its youth are a symbol of hope” and that with determination and hard work, Iranian youth “can and will reach the highest peaks.”
