According to Al-Manar TV, Sheikh Naim Qassem, speaking at a ceremony to celebrate the publication of his book Songs and Music: A Study of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, also argued that the US government and its envoy Thomas Barrack must know that they must remove Lebanese power and stop threatening to make Lebanon part of “Greater Israel.”
“Despite international collusion, ‘Israel’ has not and will not achieve its goals,” he argued, adding, “Prime Minister Netanyahu can say he is killing everywhere, but he cannot say that he is stable and that the future lies in Israel.”
“When Prime Minister Netanyahu proposes a ‘Greater Israel,’ if you look at what President Trump is doing around the world, it will be in the service of a Greater America.”
“As long as we have a proud people who make great sacrifices, Lebanon cannot give ‘Israel’ or America what it wants,” Sheikh Qassem said. “We are in a stage of conflict full of pain and hope, because Israel has not achieved its goals and will not achieve its goals.”
Sheikh Qasem suggested that stability in Lebanon could be achieved by preventing Israeli aggression, adding: “Lebanon must remain a sovereign, free, dignified, independent, strong and capable state.”
“Anyone who thinks that the disarmament of Hezbollah will end the problem is mistaken, because Hezbollah’s weapons are part of Lebanon’s power and they do not want Lebanon to become stronger,” Sheikh Qasem stressed, adding: “We are not influenced by threats. We will implement the agreement. Lebanon has fulfilled. All tricks and pressure are a waste of time.”
Hezbollah Secretary-General called on the Lebanese government to protect national sovereignty and take responsibility for the reconstruction file.
“The governor of Lebanon’s central bank is not an American official who would restrict people’s access to money. The government must put limits on him.”
Sheikh Qasem argued that the Minister of Justice is not the judicial officer of the United States and “Israel” and should stop preventing citizens from completing transactions.
“Is Lebanon a prison for its citizens controlled by the United States?”
“We do not accept that Lebanon is a prison or that anyone is placed under American command and control,” Sheikh Qassem said.
