In a speech commemorating the martyrdom of Senior Commander Saeed Abdulmalik, Al-Ghamari said he was a person who exemplified “beautiful perseverance both in action and in spirit” and endured physical and mental burdens with unwavering perseverance and dedication.
“He was one of those who sold his soul to Allah,” said Saeed Abdulmalik, highlighting Al-Gamalik’s sincerity, humility and firm conviction that enabled him to overcome the most difficult tasks.
He pointed out that al-Ghamari’s awareness of the Quran and unwavering trust in Allah enabled him to command without fear of enemy forces, unlike many Arab and Muslim armies that were held back by American and Zionist forces. He said the martyrs exemplified righteous leadership, balance, wisdom and moral excellence and served as role models for the Quranic generation.
The leaders added that Al-Ghamari’s innovative approach and ability to adapt under difficult circumstances are key to achieving a significant leap forward in Yemen’s defense capabilities. Through creative problem-solving and faith-based tenacity, he and his allies turned adversity into opportunity and helped strengthen Yemen’s deterrent capabilities despite immense pressure.
“Our martyred commander and his brothers achieved an amazing and transformative achievement, a giant leap forward through faith, innovation and trust in Allah,” the leader said.
He also described Al-Ghamali as a “person of noble character, calmness and respect for others,” noting that good manners and humility are essential for someone in a position of responsibility.
Massive national funeral attendance is proof of Yemen’s steadfastness
In a related speech, Saeed Abdulmalik praised the massive public participation in al-Ghamari’s funeral, calling it “a clear expression of the loyalty, recognition and unwavering revolutionary spirit of the Yemeni people.”
He said the turnout reflected the deep ties between the Yemeni people and the Yemeni army, a relationship rooted in a common faith, struggle and defense of the nation and the Islamic cause.
“Our people see the military as part of them, acting together in one capacity and on one front, from and for them,” said Saeed Abdulmalik.
He asserted that over the past two years, Yemen has stood firmly against Palestine and Gaza, publicly and nationally, and has made sacrifices and martyrs in a “sacred and historic confrontation” against the Zionist entity and its partner the United States.
Al Houthi called Yemen’s position shameful and humiliating, stressing that Yemen’s position is “a source of honor, dignity and divine reward,” unlike those aligned with the enemy Zionist regime.
“The position of our people will remain a glorious and eternal page in history. It will remain for future generations as a school of faith, fortitude and conviction,” he said, asserting that Yemen’s struggle embodies maturity, wisdom and complete dedication to Allah and His cause.
General Mohamed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari, Yemen’s military chief of staff and a leading figure in the country’s defense and operations in the Gaza support area, was martyred in a US and Israeli airstrike targeting Yemen.
A veteran commander of Yemen’s resistance to US and Saudi Arabian aggression, al-Ghamari played a pivotal role in developing Yemen’s strategic missile and unmanned capabilities and coordinating the country’s military posture within the Axis of Resistance.
His martyrdom was widely commemorated across Yemen, with millions attending public funerals and rallies to reaffirm the country’s unwavering support for Palestine and defiance of the Zionist enemy and its allies.
