Addressing the Council meeting on Wednesday, Ahmad Jannati pointed to recent remarks made by Islamic Revolution leader Ayatollah Khamenei in a meeting with sports champions and World Science Olympiad winners, underscoring the leader’s noble guidelines as a strategy for countries’ victory against global arrogance.
The leader’s remarks emphasized that this is a reliable recipe for success in confronting the enemy’s machinations.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Jannati pointed to the historical experience of various countries against colonialism and said that the study of history shows that the only way to succeed against the excessive demands of oppressive powers is to be strong and stand firm.
Countries that have resisted the excesses of global arrogance have always won, the Council Secretary-General stressed.
Arrogant powers may change their rhetoric from time to time, but their repressive nature remains the same, he said, adding that the misconduct of US leaders and other hegemons in recent days is the clearest evidence of this arrogant mentality.
