Tariq Fahoury, a Palestinian landowner whose property was targeted, said it was the third attack on the area by settlers in recent months, Wafa news agency reported.
The Ramallah-based Colonization and Wall Resistance Committee reported that the settlers, often under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, have launched more than 250 attacks against Palestinian olive farmers since the start of this year’s harvest season.
Olive farming remains an important economic and cultural lifeline for Palestinians, with up to 100,000 families dependent on olives and olive oil for their income and livelihood.
In another incident, settlers from the Israeli regime set fire to two Palestinian-owned vehicles in Surif (al-Khalil), a town northwest of Hebron, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.
Earlier in the day, settlers set fire to Palestinian vehicles in another attack on the village of Atala, north of Ramallah, marking a new act of arson in a growing invasion campaign across the occupied territories.
