Hamas asserted that the resistance would not allow Israel’s enemies to impose a new reality under fire and warned that the latest attacks were a serious violation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, Al-Mayadeen reported.
In an official statement on Wednesday, the movement stressed that Israel’s ongoing escalation in the Gaza Strip clearly indicates an intention to disrupt the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh under the patronage of US President Donald Trump.
Hamas claimed that the occupation forces bore full responsibility for the dangerous escalation and its consequences, and warned that continued attacks risked disrupting the fragile ceasefire. The movement added that while the Gaza resistance remains united and fully committed to the terms of the agreement, it will not allow Israel to change the status quo through military force.
“The world must realize that the blood of our children and women is not cheap,” the statement said, underscoring the resistance’s readiness to respond to violations.
Hamas also confirmed that it had no connection to the shooting incident in Rafah, south of Gaza, reiterated its commitment to a ceasefire and accused the occupation of fabricating pretexts to justify continued aggression.
The movement said Israeli military bombing of civilian areas in the Gaza Strip was a violation of the agreement and warned that the occupation’s actions could lead to uncontrollable escalation.
Hamas strongly criticized the US administration’s continued support for the occupation, calling it an active partnership in the bloodshed of the Palestinian people. The statement denounced U.S. silence and complicity, saying it directly encouraged continued attacks on Gaza.
As the situation on the ground worsens, Hamas has warned that a ceasefire agreement brokered under President Donald Trump is in serious danger of collapsing. The resistance movement reaffirmed that while it continues to abide by the agreement, it will not remain passive in the face of continued aggression and violations.
This came after Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of attacks on the Gaza Strip, killing at least 100 Palestinians in violation of ceasefire agreements.
