Speaking at the General Assembly of the Academy of Sciences, he said that Iran ranks in the single digits in the world in the field of nanotechnology, as Islamic Revolution leader Ayatollah Khamenei has emphasized in this regard.
Aref emphasized that Iran has a high potential to become one of the top 10 countries in the world in the field of AI, and that this is possible.
The Prime Minister took this opportunity to express his gratitude to all the country’s scientists, researchers and university lecturers for their tireless efforts over the past four decades, emphasizing the constant success of the country’s higher education system and scientific sector since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The First Vice President moved on to the science and technology strategy in the vision document and said, “This vision plan plans for the country to be first in science and technology in the region.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Aref pointed to the impact of sanctions on Iran’s economy, adding that President Pezeshkian’s administration is doing its best to resolve the economic problems facing the country’s noble people.
Referring to the 12-day Israeli and US invasion of the country dating back to June, Aref said the Iranian state had won despite the fact that the other side used all means, including the most advanced combat equipment.
