A military delegation from the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited Belarus’ capital Minsk on Monday to expand military and air defense cooperation with the country, and stayed in the country until November 5, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense Press Office reported, according to the Minsk Times.
The visit began with a meeting between Major General Andrei Lukyanovich, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Force of the Republic of Belarus, and Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, Commander of the Iranian Air Force.
The two sides discussed the state of relations between Belarus and Iran and explored further ways to deepen cooperation in the field of air force and air defense. ”
The delegation will visit the Belarusian Military Academy and units of the Belarusian Air Force, and will also learn about the latest weapons in the field of electronic warfare.
