In a statement released Monday, on the eve of the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, the military chiefs of staff said the United States “will spare no effort to violate the rights of the Iranian people,” adding that the U.S. attack on Iranian soil and its full and unambiguous support for the 12-day war against Iran imposed by Israel in June has alarmed the Iranian people and encouraged them to resist.
The statement identified the United States and the Zionist regime as “the world’s main centers of sedition,” and said they were now trying to achieve through fearmongering and media manipulation what they failed to achieve on the battlefield.
The General Staff further added that the “severe blows and successive defeats” inflicted on the enemy, as well as the unity of the Iranian people, the readiness of the military, and the divine will of the Islamic Revolutionary leaders, have deprived the enemy of any ability to threaten Iran’s security again.
The statement stressed that the Iranian Armed Forces stands ready to respond decisively and resoundingly to any hostilities or threats against the Islamic Republic.
