Admiral Sayyari spoke to the people of Zanjan province at a rally held to commemorate the Abban 13 anniversary commemorating the takeover of the former US embassy, stressing that Iranian forces have tarnished the image of the US government around the world.
He said the Israeli regime was in no position to wage another war against the powerful Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that the war against Iran imposed by the Zionist regime had failed and the United States followed suit.
Sayari stressed that if the Israeli regime were to wage war against Iran again, it would be severely defeated by the country’s military.
He continued that under the wise leadership of the late Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Iran succeeded in tarnishing the image of the US government in 1979.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sayari pointed to the malicious measures taken by global hubris (led by the US) and its support for the Zionist regime, saying: “For the past two years, our Zionist enemy, with the support of the US government, has committed heinous atrocities and crimes in the region, martyring tens of thousands of innocent people.”
Referring to the 12-day war that Israel imposed on Iran, he said, “At the beginning of the war, the US government sent puppets to war with Iran, but the Zionist enemy could not do anything alone, and eventually the US itself entered the battlefield, but it too faced defeat.”
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked invasion of Iran, sparking a 12-day war that left at least 1,064 people dead in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities in a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic locations throughout the occupied territories, as well as Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran successfully thwarted the invasion through successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
