On the first day of the ongoing weightlifting competition at the Shahid Novakt Hall in Baborsar, Mazandaran province, Mehrab Davasari, the flag bearer of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran team, competed against an opponent in the 65 kg weight class.
The opening ceremony of the 1st CISM Military Weightlifting Challenge was held on Monday in the northern part of Baborsar District, Mazandaran Province.
Sponsored by Army Air Defense, the first edition of CISM Military Weightlifting Challenge was held at Shahid Novakt Hall in Baborsar with the participation of a large number of state and military personnel.
Teams from Iran, Russia, North Korea, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Nigeria will compete over three days in eight weight classes recognized by the World Weightlifting Federation (WWF).
