Speaking at a meeting of the Guardian Council on Wednesday, he emphasized that the Islamic Revolution is defaming the US government around the world.
Speaking about the November 4, 1979 takeover of the US embassy (a den of spies) by student supporters of the late Imam Khomeini (RA) Line, Jannati called it “a turning point in the history of the global fight against arrogance.”
This incident demonstrated the arrogant nature of the US government, broke America’s dominance as a symbol of world power, and showed the world that a nation can maintain its dignity if it relies on Almighty God.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the General Secretary of the Guardian Council pointed to the good performance of the resistance front, adding that this achievement is the result of the worldwide expansion of the vision that the Islamic revolution brought victory to the Iranian state.
According to Jannati, the US government did everything in its power to defeat the Iranian state, but was ultimately forced to reveal its repressive nature in the worst way possible: attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities.
