Gharibabadi made the comments in a post on his X account during a visit to the Muslim country on Wednesday.
“During my visit to Saudi Arabia, aimed at developing and strengthening relations, coordination and cooperation between the two governments, especially in areas related to international, regional and multilateral organizations, important international issues, human rights, legal and judicial cooperation, I met and had discussions with Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rashi, Deputy Minister of General Foreign Affairs of the country,” he said in the post.
Iran and Saudi Arabia, which have much in common in various fields, can pursue their common interests and regional peace and stability in the turbulent international arena by mutual respect, sincere dialogue, and consideration of the requirements of good neighborliness, while developing and strengthening relations and cooperation, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister added.
He also reported that “the need to strengthen the role and effectiveness of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on a variety of issues, including condemnation of the occupation regime’s crimes in Gaza and acts of aggression in the region, and the development of cooperation among Organization members on issues related to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation,” he reported.
