According to Mehr News Agency, Pirhossein Kolivand, Chairman of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, emphasized the organization’s continued medical and health services during the Hajj period and stressed the need to strengthen joint efforts between the two countries, especially in emergency response, health, and assistance to pilgrims.
The Saudi ambassador expressed his gratitude to Mr. Kolivand and praised the achievements of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, calling its service outstanding. “We are witnessing the valuable work of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. Your continued presence during the Hajj period has enabled outstanding services and effective collaboration with the Saudi Red Crescent Society and the Ministry of Health,” he said.
A senior Saudi diplomat noted that the Hajj and Umrah ceremonies symbolize friendship and brotherhood between Islamic countries, and emphasized the important role of humanitarian cooperation during the Hajj and Umrah period. “We stand with the Iranian pilgrims with common purpose and unity and welcome constructive cooperation on both sides.”
