“We support Iran as a friendly country, and sanctions will not affect our work,” the Chinese ambassador to Iran told reporters during a visit to various special economic zones in Astara, northern Iran’s Gilan province.
Pei-Wu added: “We do not accept and do not care about undue pressure from the United States. We will actually take a stand against pressure from the United States and ensure that it does not affect our relations with the United States.”
He added, “The unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran cannot affect bilateral relations, and exchanges will continue.”
“The relations between China and Iran are friendly. In the current situation, the current status and possibilities of bilateral relations will be reviewed, especially after the bilateral presidents’ meeting in China in September considered avenues for increased cooperation,” Peiu said.
The Chinese ambassador to Iran also said, “I hope that during this visit we can learn more about the potential of Gilan province and find suitable solutions to expand trade and economic relations.”
