The First Vice-President, along with members of the Iranian parliamentary group, received a warm welcome from Pakistan’s National Assembly officials at Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday.
The Parliamentary Heads of Government Conference will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday under the theme of “Peace, Security and Development” and will be attended by delegates from each country.
Notable speakers at the event include Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Senate President Yousuf Raza Gilani, and Speaker of Parliament Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
During the event, the Senate President will meet individually with parliamentary leaders from participating countries to discuss mutual interests and bilateral cooperation.
The meeting is expected to conclude with a joint statement outlining the discussions and agreements reached.
Mr. Nikzad will elaborate on the Iranian parliament’s views on the role of the legislature in strengthening relations between countries and promoting regional and international communication.
