According to IRNA, the agreement was finalized during an official meeting between Alireza Rashidian, head of the Iranian Hajj and Hajj Organization, and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiya.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of facilitating administrative and service procedures and discussed ways to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims visiting holy sites.
Rashidian said serving pilgrims at the House of God is a common honor for officials from both countries, and stressed the need for “systematic, transparent and coordinated planning” for next year’s pilgrimage.
Al-Rabiya expressed his gratitude to the Iranian delegation and expressed hope that “constructive cooperation” will lead to better services for all pilgrims.
Rashidian also said that all programs and ceremonies will be carried out “as in previous years,” with full respect for the dignity, honor and health of the pilgrims, and with the Saudi minister’s approval in this regard.
With the signing of the agreement, operational preparations for Iran’s 2026 Hajj pilgrimage have officially begun.
