Lebanese El-Nashra and Al-Manar news networks reported on Thursday that Israeli warplanes bombed the Lebanese village of Bint Jubeir and attacked the outskirts of the town of Tayre Farsay in southern Lebanon’s Tire district, Press TV reported.
Lebanese state news agency reported that Israeli warplanes also attacked the al-Khanouk area of Aitaroun city in Nabatiyeh district with air-to-ground missiles.
The attack reportedly caused casualties and extensive damage to civilian infrastructure in the region.
Later that day, an Israeli drone targeted a Renault Rapid vehicle in the town of Tours in the Nabatieh region, injuring at least one person.
The strike took place in a densely populated area while students were leaving school.
Local media reported, citing local sources, that Israeli military aircraft dropped sonic bombs on the Nakoura coast in southern Lebanon.
Witnesses said Israeli soldiers also fired volleys of machine gun fire into the suburbs of Kfar Shoba.
Israeli artillery also shelled the southern border town of Meis al-Jabal on Wednesday night.
Tensions have been rising in southern Lebanon in recent weeks, with Israeli forces stepping up air strikes on Lebanese territory almost daily.
Despite a ceasefire in November last year, Israel continues to carry out near-daily attacks into southern and eastern Lebanon, seizing five hills it considers strategic in the south.
