Speaking during a Friday prayer sermon in Tehran, he emphasized that US President Donald Trump has openly accepted responsibility for the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iran, and called on the country’s diplomatic institutions to lodge complaints against the US president.
Qatami mentioned President Trump’s admission that he led the Zionist regime’s attack on Iran, and urged Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sue the criminal President Trump at an international organization.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the leader of Friday prayers referred to the Seventh Five-Year Plan for Socio-Economic and Cultural Development and said that the current government of President Pezeshkian should make every effort to realize the goals of the plan in accordance with the instructions of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the US government’s direct role in Israel’s invasion of Iran in June, pointing to US President Donald Trump’s recent statements as clear evidence of Washington’s complicity in the heinous act of aggression.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said President Trump’s public admission that he was “largely responsible” for the attack on Israel leaves no doubt that the United States is “actively involved” in the “illegal” act of aggression.
