According to Mehr News Agency, Takht Ravanshi visited Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the meeting was also attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Amna Baloch and Iranian Ambassador to Islamabad Reza Amiri Moghaddam.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the two sides discussed preparations for political consultations, reviewed key regional developments and multilateral issues, and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Takht Ravanshi’s visit came days after Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Alaghushi held separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan, expressing concern over rising tensions between Islamabad and Kabul and declaring Iran’s readiness to help de-escalate the situation.
The 12th Iran-Pakistan Political Consultations were held in Tehran in August 2023 during the visit of the then Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
