According to Mehr News Agency, Brigadier General Hassan Hasanzadeh, speaking at the second Science, Culture and Arts Conference in honor of martyred commander Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, said that one of the key factors behind Iran’s major achievements is the country’s abiding hope for its future.
Hassanzadeh said the 12-day war brought a “complete and honorable victory” to the Iranian state, the Islamic revolution and Islam, while inflicting a lasting and bitter defeat on its enemies, including global arrogance, the United States and the Israeli regime.
He said he believes adversaries can neutralize Iran’s missile power at the point of origin, intercept any launches en route, and use a unified global air defense system to control missiles reaching occupied territory.
The commander pointed out that the determination and courage of the martyr Tehrani Moghaddam, the father of Iran’s missile program, was manifested in Iran’s youth, especially in the Revolutionary Guards Aerospace Forces, and this spirit could never be understood by Iran’s adversaries.
Hassanzadeh concluded that in Tehrani Moghaddam’s doctrine there is no such thing as defeat: “It’s either victory or martyrdom.”
On June 13, while Washington and Tehran were in the process of nuclear negotiations, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked invasion of Iran. The Israeli attack sparked a 12-day war that left at least 1,064 people dead in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities in a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic locations throughout the occupied territories, as well as Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran successfully thwarted the invasion through successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in remarks on Sunday that Iran’s defense capabilities have been significantly strengthened since the war imposed in June, adding that it is well prepared to respond strongly if war breaks out again.
Araghchi stressed that lessons learned from the conflict have strengthened Iran’s deterrent capabilities. “If a similar war occurs again, we will be better prepared to respond. This preparation itself is the most powerful factor in preventing future conflicts,” he said. He also emphasized Iran’s enduring resilience in the face of four decades of sanctions, and that its resolve will not be undermined or its capabilities limited.
