Israeli forces carried out airstrikes on residential areas in the southern Lebanese towns of Deir Kifa and Shehor on Wednesday, following previous threats against the area.
The airstrike forced the evacuation of residents, especially those living near the targeted buildings, and schools in both towns were temporarily evacuated. No casualties were reported.
Al-Manar correspondent reported that the attack came as Israeli reconnaissance flights intensified over southern Lebanon, with drones and fighter jets keeping a close eye on several villages along the border.
Earlier on Wednesday, an Israeli drone crashed a car in the town of Altiri in southern Lebanon. According to our correspondent Hashem Al Said Hasan, one civilian was martyred and a bus carrying students was damaged in the attack. A statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed one martyr and 11 injured in the attack.
Late Wednesday, Al-Manar reported that Israeli occupation forces threatened to attack homes in Ainata and Teir Fersey in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Press TV reported that a new Israeli drone attack killed a Lebanese man in the southern city of Yomor al-Shaqif.
