Iran, Russia, Belarus, China, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe issued a joint statement following the approval of an anti-Iranian resolution by the IAEA Board of Directors.
“Today, Thursday, November 20, the Council approved an anti-Iran resolution drafted by three European countries, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States under pressure from the Israeli regime.
The non-binding political resolution, approved by 19 votes in favor, 12 abstentions and three against, did not mention continued cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the IAEA and accused Iran of not complying with its safeguards obligations.
The resolution made no mention of the illegal invasion by the United States and the Zionist regime of Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities in June. Facilities that are continually inspected by IAEA inspectors.
Nor has the IAEA and its Director-General himself even been able to condemn the blatant and illegal aggression.
