Ishaq Dar, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with the visiting Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani in Islamabad, stressing that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Iran in all fields.
During the meeting, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister took the opportunity to congratulate Mr. Larijani on his appointment as Secretary of the Iranian Social Committee.
According to the planned program, top Iranian security officials will hold high-level talks with Pakistan’s speaker of parliament, prime minister and president.
Before leaving Tehran, Larijani wrote to X that he was visiting Pakistan, a “friendly and brotherly country,” adding that Iranians would never forget Pakistan’s support during the 12-day war waged by the United States and Israel against Iran. He stressed that “brotherly relations with neighboring countries remain a priority for Tehran.”
He stressed that cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad will help significantly enhance peace and security in the region.

President Larijani and senior Pakistani officials will review the latest developments related to bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan, follow up on joint agreements, and discuss regional and international developments, including important issues in the Islamic world.
