The third meeting of the Iran-Tajikistan Political Consultative Committee was held on Tuesday in the capital Dushanbe.
The meeting, co-chaired by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanshi and Tajikistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faruk Sharifzoda, discussed a wide range of issues regarding bilateral cooperation in political, economic, commercial, cultural, scientific and research fields, as well as the latest developments at regional and international levels.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the development trend of bilateral relations, considered plans for expanding cooperation, and emphasized the need to further strengthen ties.
Prime Minister Majid Takhkut Ravanshi then met with Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture Matrubakorn Sattlyon and discussed the status of continued cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in the field of culture.
Highlighting the numerous opportunities available in the cultural field due to the common affinity between the two Persian-speaking countries, both sides stressed the need for close cooperation and coordination in cultural initiatives.
