Monday’s casualties included a Palestinian man killed in a drone strike in Bani Suheila, in the southern Israeli-held area across the so-called “Yellow Line”.
Separately, a Palestinian child was killed when a weapon left behind by Israeli forces exploded in northern Gaza City, the region’s civil defense authority said.
The group said several more children were injured, some in critical condition, Al Jazeera reported.
Al Jazeera also reported that Israeli attacks continued throughout the day, with reports of shelling, air raids and helicopter attacks in both the northern and southern parts of the enclave.
In Beit Rahiya, Israeli artillery fire hit areas outside the yellow line. In the south, tanks and helicopters targeted areas northeast of Rafah and the outskirts of Khan Yunis.
A civil defense team working in central Gaza with the support of police and the Red Cross recovered the bodies of eight members of a family from the rubble of their home in the Maghazi camp, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. This camp was attacked in a recent Israeli attack.
