Sardar Ayaz Sadiq received Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme Council for National Security, and his delegation in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Ayaz Sadiq said, “The recent exchanges between Pakistani and Iranian officials will be an important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations.”
He emphasized the need to further expand peace, stability and regional cooperation.
Both sides emphasized the importance of unity, solidarity and a common approach among Muslim countries and agreed to promote exchanges of parliamentary and official delegations.
A Pakistan Parliament statement noted that the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, regional security, parliamentary cooperation, and opportunities for greater economic engagement.
