During the meeting, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Director-General Pierre Krehenbühl signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening dialogue and cooperation in areas of common interest, including international humanitarian law education and research, humanitarian policymaking, health diplomacy, peace and security, and other related areas.
Khatibzadeh, who is also the director of the Political and International Affairs Center of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Iran is ready to expand cooperation and cooperation with the committee on related issues.
The main objectives of the cooperation are to promote understanding and respect for the principles of international humanitarian law and to create a broader area for professional and practical exchanges between the two countries.
