During the meeting, the two top diplomats exchanged views on bilateral relations and the latest regional and international developments.
Mr. Araghchi and Mr. Fidan emphasized the need to expand relations not only in the fight against terrorism and organized crime, but also in all areas of economy, trade, tourism, transportation, energy, technology, health and cultural security.
At this meeting, two foreign HGSW ministers discussed the catastrophic situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
Additionally, top Iranian and Turkish diplomats stressed the need to stop Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
They stressed the need to respect the national sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of both countries, condemned the Zionist regime’s continued attacks and aggression, and called for urgent international action to stop the Israeli regime’s gross violations of international law and confront its hegemonic and warmongering policies.
Fidan arrived in Tehran early Sunday morning and was greeted by Iranian Abbas Araghchi.
He will also meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and senior foreign policy adviser Ali Akbar Velayati.
